So many of us nowadays are striving for a better looking body. I'm not sure whether it's the pressure of all these beautiful and skinny models and actors we see on TV and in magazines. But do you ever wonder how to get thin?

An important point to note for anyone trying to get thin is that these crash diets simply don't work. By starving yourself, you are robbing your body of essential nutrients. This will also slow your metabolism right down, thus meaning your body's fat burning qualities are extremely low.

Your body needs food for energy, so never starve it. You know less energy means that you will feel weaker. This means you are less likely to be active, which can halt any weight loss program in it's tracks. You need to give your body the right amount of food to function properly without overeating.

Although many different diets will spring new and wonderful surprises on you, there are 3 main things you should try and do. Prior to every meal, drink a large glass of water. You are more likely to eat less. Half of your plate at mealtimes, should be filled with vegetables. This is great source of fibre, that will fill you up and is low in calories. Finally you should aim to eat 4 or 5 pieces of fruit everyday. Just pick your 3 favourite fruits, buy lots and get munching.

If you are really serious about how to get thin, you should also take up some form of exercise. This is merely about being more active. Simple science - the more active you are the more calories you burn. If you burn more calories than you consume everyday, then you will lose weight!
