What do I need to setup to play electric guitar live?
Ok, I play a Taylor 114ce acoustic now at my church. I put through the snake, along with everyone else, and we all came out of the speakers, and is controlled by a soundboard in the back. If I want to get an electric guitar to play things weight, what would I need. Do I have to get my own amp and pedals, or can I just use a pedal and go through the speakers still
If you play acoustic through a PA system, it is recommended that you get direct input box, especially if you do not have a balanced output cable (mic cable or TRS 1 / 4). So, if You want to play the electric guitar ... You can use the PA system still if you want, however, is not ideal for the guitar, it can work. You will have a chain of guitars, pedals, and then go to the PA. If you go the route of the Baxter recommends, will the guitar, pedal, amp or guitar pedals, amps, mics, PA. You'll find that you will get more votes complete play through a guitar cabinet instead of using PA as your amplifier. Both methods will work, but your sound will be flat power play through the PA.
