How can i fix/stop nobs from breaking of my behringer guitar amp?

I bought a behriner amp from a friend and the very first day i had it one of the nobs just broke off. Over the next three weeks a total of 3 nobs have broken off. Does anyone know what i can do because the white stems that held the nobs are broken inside the amp. What can i do to prevent this from happening again and fix the ones that have already fell off?

The potentiometers will have to be replaced, and that's going to involve removing the circuit board and some intermediate level soldering. I don't know what you paid for the amp, but if this came across my bench I'd charge $60 plus the cost of the components to repair it.

I don't mean any disrespect, but those Behringer amps are about the cheapest made amp out there. The plastic is all regrind and the components are all cheap Chinese knock-offs. It's made to sit in a bedroom and be treated gently.

What can you do to prevent this again? You just have to be careful...and realize that a $100 amp isn't going to take the same abuse as a $1000 amp. It's all about the quality of the components and the build.

Good luck to you.
