Keyboard Workstation
FL Studio just as good as an expensive keyboard workstation?

I've been told that you can get equal quality beats if you use FL Studio with good VSTs, good mixing, etc. rather than spending on an expensive Keyboard workstation. Is this true?

Well, FL sudio is just a vehicle. its true that you can get good results with both, however I would not say equal results. both methods are good but you have to hook up to workstation to a "Vehicle" Ie. FL studio, Reason or some other DAW. They are vastly different as far as technique goes. In my opinion it takes les musical instrument knowlege to run with just Fruityloops than a hardware workstation. Not to be confused with talent.

I worked with just FL studio for a long time, then, I bought a Midi surace controller (keyboard). and started using Reason. Now i am addicted. the music i produce is about 10 times better and my workflow seems to be tripled.

Hope it helps :)
