The company with the name of Charvel Guitar Repair was the first guitar Jackson Randy Rhoads of Ozzy Osbourne and Quiet Riot fame. Charvel Grover Jackson and Wayne were members of the company Charvel have your name on guitars. 10th In November 1978, Jackson bought out his partner and took control of the company.

A couple of years later, in 1980, Grover Jackson and Randy Rhoads got together and started working on the first "Rhoads guitar. Grover Jackson decided to put their own name on guitar, Randy because he thought it was too shocking for Charvel regular customers. All guitars were made with the company until that time had Charvel name on the blade guitar and his designs were almost identical to the Fender Start.

Speaking of dolls, the head of Jackson is very similar to fallen head designed Gibson Explorer shape, except for Jackson's Pointier the end of it. Other models of this style Jackson also had the same sharp contrast with the tip of the shovel points instead of decreasing. Jackson's guitar is also known for designing their shark fin fret inlays.

From 1979 all the way until 1986, its factory is located in San Dimas, California before moving to Ontario, California.

In the '80s and early part of 90, Jackson Guitars were very popular with Thrash and Heavy Metal music genres. The Jackson guitar design is sleek and stylish and fit from the guitarists of that era perfectly. Artists like Phil Collen and Rick Savage (Def Leppard), Vinnie Vincent (Kiss), Dave Mustaine (Megadeth), Randy Rhoads (Ozzy Osbourne, Quiet Riot) and Robbin Crosby (Ratt) to name a few.

In 2002, Jackson Charvel Guitar Company and were bought by Fender guitars and moved to a factory in Corona, California. This caused some bad feelings for a good number of loyal players Jackson guitar and a bunch of artists who promoted their guitars in the 80's and 90's jumped ship and moved to support other guitar manufacturers.

Today the Jackson guitar is still very popular, especially in the genre of Heavy Metal. Yet there are plenty of talented guitarists who performed with Jackson guitars because of its high quality and fresh design. Some users are more recent Jackson Matt Tuck (Bullet For My Valentine), Frank Aresti (Fates Warning, dark on Sunday), Metal Mike Chlasciak (Halford, Sebastian Bach and Painmuseum), Chris Beattie (Hatebreed), John Campbell and Mark Morton (Lamb Of God), Phil Demmel (Machine Head and Vio-Lence), Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne and Black Label Society), Derrick Green (Sepultura), James Root (Slipknot and Stone Sour) and Serj Tankian (System of a Down).
