I recorded 8 microphones 4 chanel mixer if I use splitters to split XLR XLR inputs of the mixer?

I am thinking of buying a mixer Azden FMX 42 4 audio channels because it is resonably price. The problem is I need to record 8 audio sources (1 LAVS boom and 7.) I want to use XLR splitters to increase the number XLR input. Will it work and what kind of sound qulity I get?

Assuming that the microphones are the usual 50K impedance should be well. Two parallel is 25K but that is within the tolerance of most devices. The biggest problem is that there will be no way to adjust the levels of each microphone between pairs that are combined with the separators, but must be able to find combinations that work if they have the same audio signal levels and similar microphones ... otherwise use a microphone with a higher output level for the weaker source would balance out the pair successfully.
