Board Cables
What is the operating voltage in Telephone Cables & Switch board Cables?

Telephone Cables are also called PIJF Cables which have copper conductor of 0.4, 0.5, 0.6 or 0.9mm diameter with PE Insulation and Polyester Tape, Al Foil, LDPE Sheath, Steel Tape, LDPE Jacket for mechanical protection.
Switchboard Cables have Tinned Copper Conductor with PE or PVC Insulation and PVC Sheath.

Telephone talkpath voltage is 48 volts DC. Ringing voltage is 90 volts AC.
The cable is merely the medium to transport the voltage so it would depend on the application as to what cable would be used.
